Painting Pictures

1. Put the world into a frame, sign the painting with your name
    And then put it on the wall
    Like a memory passing by, like a new born baby´s cry
    You just gotta let it out

    In your hand the paint brush moves, across the canvas white and smooth
    And each stroke you make - it´s painting pictures
    Fact or fiction, you don´t mind, there´s a story right inside
    Just an outline first and then more detailed
    And you won´t sleep until you got it made
      
2. Mixing colours, green and blue, breathing life into something new
    Different landscapes, different scenes
    It´s a moment that you show, when you work you can´t go slow
    Seems to burst right out of you

    Hey, dear brother can´t you see, there is something between you and me
    Making songs or painting pictures
     We´re creators in a way, bring up to light what we wanna say
    Let me paint a song rich in colours
            Sure you know what minor looks like...

     Sometimes I can see myself
     An easel somewhere by the sea, seagulls flying over me
             While I´m sitting there - just painting pictures...
